Nin was a gem one of the locals told us about.

An ancient village built on a small island inside of a lagoon, it was run by a radical Bishop in the middle ages and is home to the smallest cathedral in the world.

This Bishop (Gregory of Nin) was the first to give Catholic services in the local language instead of Latin. Because of that he is credited with the spread of the Catholic Religion throughtout Croatia.
